Evelyn is a succession lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience in estate planning and estate administration. Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2012, she has practised in multiple jurisdictions in Australia as well as having pre-admission experience in the United Kingdom.
With exposure to private practice, a not-for-profit law firm, private bank and trustee company, Evelyn has assisted people and families from all walks of life.
Evelyn is passionate about educating clients throughout the succession process, assessing potential risks and ensuring their objectives are properly documented. She is experienced in advising on succession planning matters that range from simple to complex. Evelyn has experience drafting comprehensive succession planning documents including, but not limited to, wills incorporating testamentary trusts, special disability trusts, enduring powers of attorney & guardianship, superannuation binding death benefit nominations and deeds of variation for discretionary trusts limited to succession purposes.
Evelyn is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), membership of which is gained by experience and expertise in the focus area of succession law. She has previously served as a Committee Member for STEP Queensland and has been a Committee Member for STEP WA since 2020. She is also part of a number of sub-committees for STEP Australia.
