It is with sadness and gratitude that we announce our current Chief Executive Officer, Malcolm Shelton-Agar will be retiring at the end of his term on 30 June 2022. Malcolm has played an integral role in positioning Jackson McDonald as one of WA’s leading independent law firms for the last nine years.
We are delighted to announce that Emiliya Peneva, currently Chief Financial and Operations Officer will be taking on the role from 1 July. An experienced strategic and operational leader, Emiliya brings a wealth of experience from both a finance and legal operations background.
Elizabeth Tylich, Chair of Jackson McDonald says “Emiliya has been with Jackson McDonald for nearly 15 years. During this time she has worked within the leadership team to positively contribute to the Jackson McDonald of today. I am delighted that we are promoting from within, a leader, who I believe has the skills and expertise to take Jackson McDonald into the next 100 years. An avid learner and technophile, Emiliya adds value to all discussions and decision making.”
Commenting on the appointment, Emiliya Peneva said she was looking forward to taking on the role.
“I am excited to be continuing my career in this new leadership role. I have been fortunate to work with Malcolm for the last nine years and will certainly miss our day-to-day interactions of collaboration and inspiration. I look forward to working with both the partnership and the firm as we move into this new century where I hope to continue making a difference. In today’s ever-changing landscape I remain passionate about being part of a ‘profoundly human’ law firm which we continue to improve by embracing modern technology and delivering smart solutions to our clients. I look to empower and encourage others, to nurture their curiosity and leverage their own passions, as we continue to support our clients and the WA community as a whole.”
“Malcolm leaves a strong platform for Emiliya to build on. We look forward to working together to continue to develop our people and focus on our clients and their requirements.” Ms Tylich said.
